Saber Options: Type
The type refers to the electronic core. This determines the sound and lighting effects
Baselit: Think of this like a flash light. There are high powered LEDs in the hilt that light a hollow blade. it is suitable for heavy dueling. It has 3 saber modes and 3 lighting effects. This has up to 16 sound fonts.
Xenopixel: This core has led strips in the blade and a pin connector in the hilt. There are some LEDs surrounding the pins, for accent lights. It is suitable for heavy dueling , but light to moderate dueling is recommended to prevent damage to the LEDs in the blade. This has 12 saber modes and 8 lighting effects and can mimic effects seen in movies. Xenopixel has up to 34 sound fonts.
Proffie: Proffie or Proffie pixel has the same led strips in the blade and a pin connector in the hilt that Xenopixel has. The difference is in the sound and lighting effects. Proffie is an open source platform allowing coders to customize sound fonts and create unique lighting effects. Overall, it has the highest quality sound and lighting with the ability for complete customization. It is also suited to heavy dueling but light to moderate dueling is recommended to prevent damage to the LED strips.
